Discover the real Kenya on our adventure to the wild north, in the company of the local Maasai community.
Discover the real Kenya on our eight-day adventure in the company of the local ‘Maasai’ community. Northern Kenya is considered one of the most untouched and unique parts of the country and after spending time in the company of the people who live and breathe it, you’ll understand why. Enjoy game drives in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a visit to Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary and the Rhino Centre as well as the heart-warming Mt Kenya Wildlife Orphanage. Camp under the stars and fall asleep listening to the African night and the stories of the Maasai people around the evening campfire. This magical tour ends with a stay at Il Ngwesi Community Lodge. This was the first Lodge in Africa to be owned and managed by the local Maasai community and the Maasai staff, the community, the wildlife rangers will leave a mark on your soul. Spend your days watching the wildlife pass by from your stunning rooms, sipping wine by the poolside or exploring this conservation area on foot or on as many game drives as you can handle. After an early breakfast we will head north to the bustling town of Nanyuki and to the wildlife haven of Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This is your chance to see the ‘Big Five’, so keep your eyes open and cameras poised!

Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a privately owned wildlife reserve and is home to a host of African wildlife. It’s famous for sightings of the ‘Big Five’. Its rhino population is world famous and it undertakes a number of local community projects including infrastructure for schools, healthcare and clean water for local communities. Ol Pejeta is also home to the last of the Northern White Rhino. If you fancy a close encounter with these gentle giants, just let us know!

At Ol Pejeta, we’ll stop at Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which provides a lifelong refuge to both orphaned and abused chimpanzees from West and Central Africa.
