On arrival, we’ll pick you up and take you to your accommodation. You’ll have plenty of time to settle in and relax before our evening get‐together to chat about our fantastic upcoming adventure through Kenya and Tanzania.

After an early breakfast we set off on our journey to the Masai Mara. At 30 miles in length, the Mara River is best known for the dramatic and legendary wildebeest crossing, shown in wildlife documentaries worldwide. This afternoon we will embark on a game drive to aquaint ourselves with the incredible wildlife that resides all around us. Tonight we’ll sit back and enjoy a ‘sundowner’ while watching the locals frolic in the water below. Look out for elephants, crocodiles, hippos and zebras among others.

Known as one of the finest wildlife destinations in the world and with 95 species of mammals, your chances of ticking off the ‘Big Five” are pretty high. We will spend our first morning on a game walk along the edge of the Mara river, before heading in to the reserve for game drives. Experience a picnic lunch on the open plains or opt for an early morning balloon safari (additional cost US $455pp). We will also visit a local village to learn about Maasai customs and culture. These 2 days in the Masai Mara will be full of game drives like no other!

After breakfast we farewell the mighty Masai Mara and transfer by road to Isibania- the border crossing to Tanzania. Once in Tanzania we will continue on to the Serengeti National Park.

Nothing can prepare you for the extraordinary landscape of the Serengeti National Park. Its endless plains are teeming with zebra, wildebeest, antelope and elephants. And if you’re a fan of big cats, you’ll love it here even more, with more than 50% of Tanzania’s lion population residing within its boundaries. Make sure you look up as well as down so you can spot the cheetahs and leopards too! We’ll spend the tonight under the starry African sky. It’s an experience you’ll never forget.

We have time for one more early morning game drive in the Serengeti before we make our way to the rim of Ngorongoro crater. This incredible volcanic crater was formed over three million years ago and was designated as a National Park in 1979. The crater is home to the largest elephants in Tanzania and the only park where you’ll find the black rhino.

Today we descend 600m into the base of the caldera. We’ll spend the day on a breath-taking game drive across the floor of the crater. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a Unesco World Heritage listed site, famous for the diversity of its wildlife and its unique ecology. You’ll never quite forget the experience of standing on the rim or descending down into the caldera to go in search of some of the world’s most fascinating wildlife. In the afternoon we travel to the bustling town of Keratu, located near the edge of the Rift Valley Plateau.

Situated at the base of the towering Gregory Rift Mesa, Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its flamingos, diverse water birds, hippos
and tree climbing lions! Today we get to explore the park, before heading through the picturesque countryside to the outskirts of Tarangire National Park.

Among the most striking of all the landscapes in East Africa, the Tarangire National Park is home to an array of magnificent Baobab trees, as well as a host of elephants, zebra and lions, and the mighty Tarangire River. Today we get to explore the many waterways, swamplands and forests of this mighty park. This evening we head back to Arusha for our last evening in this wildlife haven.

Today concludes this incredible safari through Kenya and Tanzania. With their diverse wildlife, landscapes and unique experiences you will no doubt have had an unforgettable adventure.
