Immerse yourself in the beauty of Rwanda

Behold Rwanda's Mountains and Lakes

Few countries in the world can match the natural beauty and diversity of the Republic of Rwanda.
Known as the land of a thousand hills and home to the endangered mountain gorilla, Rwanda is shaking off its troubled past to become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa. With its mountainous terrain, Rwanda’s landscape is the ideal environment for gorillas, chimpanzees and other primate species.

We partner with the Jane Goodall Institute Australia (JGIA) to bring you a unique and exciting wildlife safari experience. We’ll visit local communities to learn more about Rwandan culture and go in search of some of the most amazing wildlife you’ll ever encounter.

CONSERVATION

At RAW Africa Eco-Tours, we are serious about supporting local communities and their conservation efforts. By joining us on a Rwanda tour you will be helping conservation by:

A portion of all tour payments to RAW Africa Eco-Tours is passed on to one of the conservation organisations relevant to the places we visit and the people we meet. We support the Jane Goodall Institute Rwanda

We hire a local guide when we visit Rwanda. This creates employment and provides tourism experience for local communities. We stay in accommodation that is locally owned or is owned by the national park, ensuring that the majority of our tourism $$ stays in the area.

On every RAW Africa Eco-Tours journey, we ask you to do one small thing that will make a difference to wildlife. In Rwanda most of the coffee is grown by small scale farmers. Shade grown coffee reduces threats to wildlife by providing habitat.  In Rwanda, RAW Africa Eco-Tours asks you to choose locally grown coffee such as Boneza coffee, so that you can continue to support wildlife and communities every time you take a cup of your favourite brew.
