Samburu Heart

Located in the North of Kenya, the Samburu National Reserve is one of the Kenya’s most unique wildlife habitats.
The Samburu National Reserve is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river in Northern Kenya. The river attracts various herds of thirsty animals who come to drink, feed and cool down. Samburu Reserve is a unique wildlife conservation haven famous for an abundance of rare species of animals such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. The reserve is also home to nearly 900 elephants, as well as gazelles, impalas, water bucks, dik-diks, hippos, olive baboons, warthogs, cape buffalo, hyenas, jackals, klipspringer, elands and mongooses – just to name a few. Large predators such as the lion, leopard and cheetah also gather along the river’s edge to hunt for prey.
